Self Love

We live in a visual and virtual world that is deceiving and has distorted the truth.  One of my favorite quotes is from Marilyn Monroe, “If you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.”   Feeling as though we’re not good enough is the problem among most women.  We don’t know that we are the most powerful and prized creation.  We have been given the spirit of power, love, and of a sound mind, not fear.  So why are we so afraid to embrace self-love?  Why don’t we see our own value?
We’ve fallen victim to the flashy world of music videos and reality television that exploit women as being good for nothing but “long hair don’t care” and measurements of 36-24-36.  So what do we do to change the way we’re portrayed?
People prey on the weak.  Someone can sense your lack of confidence through the energy you exude.  If you accept the deceit, disrespect, and show lack of confidence and insecurities then people will take advantage of you.
Once you embrace self-love and stand firm on your beliefs, you won’t settle.  Never alter who you are because of someone’s dislikes.  Respect, love, and carry yourself with confidence.  Show the world that you’re built like a stallion.   Love yourself and be loved. If you don’t respect and love yourself first, trying to build any type of relationship whether friend or business will be like building a house without a foundation.  Eventually the cracks (insecurities) will cause it to disintegrate.  Once you have a solid foundation of who you are there is nothing or no one that is capable of altering that.
Knowing your worth gives you a viable position in society.  Once you embrace self-love, you can achieve anything.  Never allow someone to tell you that you are less than you are. We are powerful, resilient, strong, amazing beautiful women.
What is it that you want to accomplish but are afraid of what someone may think or feel about your idea?  Can you handle it alone?  What resources do you need to help you get to where you need to be?  Do you have a foundation to stand on when creating your masterpiece? These are the questions you should ask yourself and seek the answer to. With prayer and a changed mindset you can accomplish anything.
